America’s leading hardware store, Home Depot, is currently holding a free workshop on birdhouse building for kids. We went last Saturday with my grandson. Organized on a section of the parking lot in front of the large store, it was a great fun experience. The efficient staff handed an apron and a kit just as you arrived, provided paints and brush once you were done and finally gave a packet of bird feed as your tiny-tot left bouncing with his creation.

As these slides show, the best looking grandchild—naturally—was mine. As was the birdhouse that he made, all by himself (almost).

Enjoy.
